I recently purchased a ROSOrin ROS2 robot, and I am having trouble getting it to connect properly.

When I turn on the robot, the robot does not broadcast the HW Wi-Fi network, so I am unable to connect my computer to the robot. Additionally, the remote control does not connect to the robot.

Could you please help me troubleshoot this issue? I would appreciate any steps I can follow to determine what is preventing the Wi-Fi network from appearing and why the remote control is not connecting.

Because both Wi-Fi and controller operation depend on the robot completing startup, please check the following in order:

  1. With the robot switched off, confirm the battery connector is connected red-to-red and black-to-black. If the battery is below 10 V or the buzzer repeatedly sounds, charge it with the supplied charger while the robot remains off.
  2. Power on the robot and observe the expansion board’s blue LED1. It should flash. Wait for one short buzzer sound, which indicates that startup has completed.
  3. If LED1 is solid blue, the robot may be in STA/LAN mode. Press and hold the expansion board’s KEY1 button for 5-10 seconds. When LED1 starts flashing, scan for the Wi-Fi network again. The AP-mode hotspot begins with HW, and its password is hiwonder.
  4. If holding KEY1 does not make LED1 flash, switch off the robot, reseat its SD card or SSD, and restart it.
  5. Confirm that the wireless controller’s USB receiver was inserted before powering on the robot. After startup completes, move the controller switch to ON. The red and green LEDs should initially flash together; after pairing, the green LED should remain on and the red LED should turn off. Press START to wake the controller if it timed out after 30 seconds.

If these checks do not resolve it, please provide the exact main-board version and photos or a short video showing LED1 after power-on, whether the startup beep occurs, the controller LEDs, and the installed USB receiver and storage device.
